Some times it is the little things that detract the most form our websites. One of those little items is the copyright date at the bottom of the website. Sure its tiny, and at the bottom, but it has a HUGE impact on our business. When site visitors scroll down to the bottom of your page and see an outdated copyright, they quickly assume that your content is outdated as well. But who can remember to update that one....tiny....insignificant number.
Now you don't have to remember. This script will update your website copyright automatically.
<script>
var mydate=new Date()
var year=mydate.getYear()
if (year < 1000)
year+=1900
document.write(""+year+"")
</script>
Plug this script in at the bottom of your page and the copyright will update automatically. You can use this script throughout your website in other places where you may be displaying the year.

Everyone needs a business mentor and I have been fortunate enough to adopt Dan Miller (48 Days to the Work You Love, No More Mondays) as mine. Dan is not only a great coach, but he is a constant entrepreneur. The summer, Dan released a great resource for budding entrepreneurs entitled 48 Business Ideas. This FREE PDF is meant to be a catalyst for priming the creative pump. While many of these ideas are excellent by their own right, they are certainly not authoritative business recommendations.
